There are loads of brand changes at the moment…Herbal Essences and Norwich Union (neither a recommendation, merely an observation from too much TV) and my favourite brand is soon introducing their new packaging too…eco my party! I know I talk about it a lot, but I’ve made friends with the lovely Helen who owns and runs the company from home with her hard-working husband and her two young children! She’s told me that at the beginning of March she’s hoping to bring out the new packaging in the style of the website’s opening page … and she’s guaranteed me first dibs on the new products in their beautiful new packaging…

I never usually even recognise Valentine’s Day, I don’t feel the need to overspend on dinner when the meals are double the price, buy roses when they’ve tripled in price and the terrible waste of all those cheesy chat up lines just because someone said I had to! I do, deep deep down, have a tiny romantic bone in my body somewhere, and even though I don’t celebrate the much over-rated Valentine’s Day, I do HEART all the decorations and imaginative eco ways to Eco YOUR Valentine.

My much loved eco my party have these gorgeous white paper heart garlands which I have entwined around my door frame and their beautiful hanging willow lanterns are currently gently swaying from my rafters! And I’ve just discovered TreeHuggingFamily’s fantastic recommended homemade decorations which are stunning!

I found myself fancying an eco water bottle over the last couple of days and particularly like the Orla Kiely “Wottle” at Ethical Superstore, although after reading a bit further I found it was mainly promoting Brita Water products and I really liked it for it’s amusing name! So have decided to stick to reusing my normal water bottles instead of wasting money as well as more plastic…but back to my original point…

I’ve just had a great conversation with Helen Thomson, director of much talked about new website www.ecomyparty.co.uk

Turns out, she’s lovely and has been reading my blog and even put a link on her “people we like” page to me, so now I know she’s totally eco-chic!

She told me about eco my party launching on 1st December and their new brand identity and new range of products too and gave me the following info, which I’m happy to share with everyone else;

I caught This Morning on ITV1 and after watching the car crash that is Kerry Katona, I saw the semi-finalists of their Mumpreneur competition and watched Helen Thomson of eco my party pitch her FANTASTIC company idea to camera.

Of course I checked out their website www.ecomyparty.co.uk and LOVE their range of totally eco disposable party supplies that are 100% biodegradable. Now here’s a business that is providing something for all of us who have eco-guilt about using those polystyrene cups and plastic forks which NEVER biodegrade and not compromising on style either.

I’m on a search for the most stylish, natural, ethically sourced, fabulous, affordable and convenient compostable party ware and products. We all know that no-one in their right mind would choose a polystyrene cup over a 100% biodegradable one, so I am reviewing recycled, compostable, biodegradable, recyclable, ethical, locally sourced and easy on the wallet companies, products and businesses!
